VUS insulation
VUS insulation is a modern protective technology based on a high-strength multilayer coating system designed to safeguard pipelines against external environmental influences. Its main function is to provide reliable protection from corrosion, moisture, chemicals, and mechanical damage. This type of insulation is most commonly used in gas pipelines, oil transportation systems, and water supply networks, where pipelines are often exposed to high pressure and harsh operating conditions.
One of the key features of VUS insulation is its multi-layer structure. Typically, the first layer acts as an anti-corrosion primer, the second layer enhances adhesion, while the third layer consists of high-strength polyethylene or other composite materials. Together, these layers ensure maximum durability and extend the service life of pipelines, even under extreme conditions.
In addition to improving energy efficiency, VUS insulation also contributes to environmental safety. It reduces the likelihood of leaks and accidents, minimizes maintenance costs, and can extend the lifespan of pipelines up to 30 years. For these reasons, VUS insulation has become one of the most demanded and effective solutions in the oil and gas industry, as well as in municipal infrastructure projects.
