Argon welding

Argon welding, also known as TIG welding (Tungsten Inert Gas), is an arc welding process that uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode and inert argon gas as shielding. The argon protects the molten weld pool from atmospheric contamination, preventing oxidation and ensuring a clean, high-quality weld.

During the process, an electric arc is generated between the tungsten electrode and the base metal. Argon gas flows through the torch to shield the arc and weld area. Filler material can be added manually if needed. Argon welding is ideal for joining non-ferrous metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, copper, titanium, and magnesium.

Advantages of argon welding:

  • Clean, strong, and precise welds;
  • Very low spatter and no slag;
  • Excellent corrosion resistance;
  • Suitable for thin materials and delicate work;
  • Effective in tight or difficult welding positions.

Argon welding is widely used in aerospace, medical equipment, food processing, pressure vessel manufacturing, and aluminum repair. It requires skilled operation but delivers top-tier results. Because of its precision and reliability, argon welding is considered one of the most advanced and versatile welding methods in modern industry.
